Avery Slinker

Avery Slinker is a junior at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UTK), studying biomedical engineering. She joined the lab for the Summer of 2026 as part of the Biomedical Sciences Summer Research Program (SRP). Avery is from Dayton, Ohio, but was born in Madison, Wisconsin! While completing her undergraduate degree, she has helped with research on subcutaneous porous implants in rats. Avery also has experience in mentoring her peers and those younger than her through opportunities at UTK. In her free time, Avery enjoys being outside, painting, reading, and spending time with her friends!
